Facial Spa in Vienna, VA
Two complementary facial rituals at TAO — Basic Facial Care for the skin itself, Meridian Facial Massage for the tissue underneath. A short guide to pick the right one for your skin.
The TAO Facial Menu
Two Facials, Two Different Jobs
This is the navigator page for the TAO facial menu. We offer two distinct facial services and they do different things. Basic Facial Care is what most people picture when they hear the word facial — the cleanse, the exfoliation, the layered serums, the brightening mask. Our Meridian Facial Massage is the other half of the menu and works one layer down: pressure points along the traditional Chinese meridian lines plus lymphatic drainage along the jaw and neck, with the focus on sculpting and tension release rather than product application.
A simple way to choose. If your concern is what your skin looks like on the surface — dry patches, congestion, dullness, the post-winter fog — start with Basic Facial Care. If your concern is how your face holds itself — jaw clench, puffiness under the eyes, a softening jawline from too many screen hours — start with the Meridian Facial. Most of our regular guests eventually alternate the two on a monthly rhythm, since the surface care and the structural care compound each other.
Every facial begins with a brief skin read. Your certified senior therapist will look at where you are today — dehydration, sensitivity, sun, sleep — and adjust the products and pacing accordingly. Nothing in the room runs on autopilot. Booking from a Tysons Corner office? Walk-over time from Tysons Corner Center is about ten minutes; from Tysons Galleria, twelve.

What To Expect
What A TAO Facial Actually Delivers
Two Different Treatments For Two Different Goals
Basic Facial Care is about the skin itself — cleanse, exfoliate, mask, hydrate. Meridian Facial Massage is about the tissue underneath — sculpting, drainage, tension release. Most TAO regulars rotate between them.
Customized From The First Two Minutes
Every facial starts with a short skin read. Dehydrated from a Tysons winter? We layer richer serums. Congestion across the T-zone? We extend the cleanse and add a clarifying mask. Nothing here runs on a fixed script.
Real Decongestion Through Lymphatic Drainage
Both facials include drainage strokes along the jawline, cheekbones, and down the side of the neck. The puffiness goes first, then the brightness comes up underneath. Most guests see it in the mirror before they leave.
Visible Lift, Without Devices
The meridian work runs along the natural contours of the face — under the cheekbone, along the brow line, up the side of the neck. There is no machine in the room. The lift is hand-built and noticeably stronger with regular bookings.
An Hour Offline From The Tysons Workday
Most of our facial bookings come from clients walking over from Tysons Corner Center, Tysons Galleria, or the office buildings off Old Courthouse Road. The treatment doubles as the one hour of the day with the phone all the way off.
Pairs Cleanly With Bodywork In The Same Visit
Book a 60-minute body massage followed by a 30 or 60-minute facial and we will sequence the rooms so you flow from one to the other. Many guests do this as their monthly reset.

Facial Spa FAQs
Basic Facial Care or Meridian Facial — which should I pick first? +
Quick rule of thumb. If your concern is the surface — dryness, congestion, dullness, breakouts, exfoliation — start with Basic Facial Care. If your concern is structure — puffiness, jaw tension, loss of contour, fine lines from screen time — start with the Meridian Facial. Many of our regulars eventually alternate the two on a monthly rhythm. See our dedicated meridian facial page for the deeper explanation of that technique.
Pricing — what are the durations and the cost? +
Basic Facial Care: 30min $70 · 60min $120 · 90min $198. Meridian Facial Massage: 30min $70 · 60min $120 (only two durations for this service). The 60-minute Basic and the 60-minute Meridian sit at the same price point, which makes choosing between them a pure question of goal rather than budget.
How often should I get a facial? +
Roughly every 4 to 6 weeks, which lines up with one full skin renewal cycle. Around the seasonal change in Northern Virginia — late fall and early spring — many of our McLean and Falls Church regulars shift to every 3 weeks to recalibrate hydration and exfoliation. Wedding and event prep usually starts 6 to 8 weeks out.
Can I combine a facial with a massage in one visit? +
Yes, and we recommend it. The most common pairing is a 60-minute body massage followed by a 30 or 60-minute facial. Mention you want both at booking and we will block the time so the rooms flow without a rush. This combination is also offered as part of our Beauty & Harmony Package — see our packages page.
What about microneedling, peels, or injectables? +
We do not offer medical-grade dermatology services and we will be honest if your skin goal is better met by a dermatologist. The TAO facial menu is about regular, restorative skin care and the in-between maintenance that keeps the face moving, drained, and hydrated. Many of our clients see a dermatologist for the heavy work and use us for the monthly upkeep.
Where are you located and how do I book? +
